Elsie (nee Meara), was a very special lady. Very kind, sincere, with a loving nature, and a heart of gold. Her parting was unexpected and sudden after just a short illness. Apart from being my Aunt, she was also my God Mother, the one person in this world that I would have been privileged to have called mother, had I not had the good fortune of having a wonderful mother already, my Aunt's sister Lily. After the tragic death of my brother Tony Blount in 2006, the pain of losing Elsie was added to our already still grieving family. She enjoyed having our family living only doors away, and loved our family gatherings along with her husband Colin, who misses her terribly after 45 years of marriage. At her funeral, Father White of St. Vincent's Church on Queens Road in Hull, spoke of her as having "God-like qualities" for her kindness to others. Something that everyone who knew her would whole heartily agree with. She died peacefully at Hull Royal Infirmary with some of her relatives around her bed supporting her husband. She quietly slipped away as I held her hand. God Bless you auntie Elsie, you truly were one in a million. We all love and miss you xXx

We've shared our hearts, full of Holiday Cheer
and shopped for presents for loved ones this year
the house is dressed up with garland and lights
that sparkle and shine through the Holiday nights
But even with all of this Holiday bliss
